Newly wed and newly arrived in Dubai as an 'expat wife', my husband found
me crouched on the floor of our serviced apartment in floods of tears, ripping a newspaper to shreds in despair. I had reached the end of my 'honeymoon period' and I was heading for the 'big dipper' that is what I now know to be the 'second stage' of culture shock. I turned to writing and found it saved my life, literally – through journaling, hundreds of published articles, many books and countless poems. Since then, five countries, 20 years and two super sons later, I remain convinced that if a career is to be portable and sustainable it must be based on your passion. I am passionate about writing
Today, my work allows me to inspire others to do the same. I write, coach, teach, speak and 'help people fulfil their publishing dreams'. Many of my clients also find themselves on the expat rollercoaster, determined to have the ride of their lives.
